| Tiivistelmä: | Existing quality management literature lacks specific analysis of quality management effectiveness in small firms. Through a study of 181 small firms, this research empirically investigated the execution of the 10 elements of quality management in these firms and the resulting product quality. Results indicate that, while launching of a formal TQM program helps better execute the 10 quality elements and produce better products, the firm's production strategy by itself does not determine the effectiveness of the quality efforts. |
