| Tiivistelmä: | The policies are described which have been applied to adapt the electric power sector to the open and competitive market economic system as an important goal of energy policy since 1974. The basic features of the new electric power policy include the design of a new spot price system on the basis of marginal supply costs, clearly identifying and separating the marginal costs for generation, transmission and distribution, explicit separation between the generation-transmission and the distributive activities, design and implementation of an economic load dispatch centre to coordinate the operation of the generating companies. |
