Tiivistelmä:The service requirements of companies are outlined. The question arises if they are to be satisfied internally or by applying to a paid consultant? What are the motivating factors behind such a choice? Are they valid? Using a survey of the complex service requirements of multinational companies, answers are provided to these questions. Particular emphasis is layed on the consultant-corporate client interface in the field of complex services. The need to organize the management of these services within the firm is stressed both in terms of manpower and procedures. These two points are considered vital for the success of any operation.
