Tiivistelmä: | This article uses the power, legitimacy, and urgency framework of Mitchell et al. (Academy of Management Review 22, 853-886;1997) to investigate stakeholder identification and prioritization by managers. Positive relationship between stakeholder attributes and perceived stakeholder salience is found on a comparative case study of two large-scale sporting event organizing committees, with a special focus on interviews with managers at different hierarchical levels. The hierachical level and managers' role are found to have a direct and moderating effect on stakeholder identification and perceived salience. Most stakeholders were identified as definitive, dominant or dormant types. |
