| Tiivistelmä: | The author draws attention to the skills required of a management accountant in an international business. Financial controllers need to be comfortable looking outwards and forwards, dealing with subjective judgments, and coping with uncertainty. They do not have to be the experts in which financial instrument is appropriate for managing a particular risk, but they do need to be able to identify the risks and explain them to the experts, usually in the treasury function. New skills and attitudes are required to justify the label 'management accountant'. |
