| Tiivistelmä: | Prescriptions for management accountants to become pro-active internal business consultants have not been matched by corresponding indications of appropriate patterns of motivation and behavior. The argument presented here is that these prescriptions are more likely to be realized if management accountants possess or can develop a learning goal orientation. This contrasts with a performance goal orientation, which is likely to deter the required behavior. |
