| Tiivistelmä: | Statistical offices in the Central and Eastern European countries (CEECs) used to be auditors and were expected to perform a propaganda function. Statistical officers in CEECs now have to replace the old authoritarian arrangements with their data suppliers by new ones based on mutual trust and benefit. The OECD's new Centre for Co-operation with European Countries in Transition is helping the CEECs in different branches of statistics. |
