| Tiivistelmä: | Controlling is necessary in the R&D sector too. Controlling presupposes planning data; however, the processes of innovation is very difficult to plan. That is why controlling in the R&D sector poses new problems to the controller. The simple controlling of figures is useless, the processes should be controlled in each phase, there must be experience and knowledge about the processes at the controller's disposal. Decisions in the process of development should be aided by cybernetics. Long-term, future oriented approaches should be preferred to short-term, one-sided decisions. |
