| Tiivistelmä: | This autumn U.K. carrier Mercury Communication Ltd. will trial AT&T VSAT technology with several multinational users for cross-border data networking. The trial will be AT&T's first activity in Europe. The aim is to test which VSAT applications are best suited to Europe. Regulatory obstacles must still be overcome before VSATs become widespread in Europe. The European Commission is finalizing a final proposal to liberalize the European market for two-way satellite links. |
