| Tiivistelmä: | Article analyzed the impact of introducing production cells to the performance of the production system.The performance of the production system can be analyzed at two levels: 1.Lower level includes the operating conditions of the production system.Among these article is mostly discussing parameters such as: lenghts of internal transport between consecutive operations, production lead time, raw material, work in process and finished goods inventory, operations planning and control, characteristics of work force.2.Higher level represents the performance of the production system as a whole.This includes elements of product differentiation on one side (such as delivery time and reliability, product quality, product flexibility) and results in terms of costs on the other side. |
