| Tiivistelmä: | Plummeting semiconductor prices will negatively impact both domestic and foreign demand in fiscal 1996. In fiscal 1997, the growth of domestic demand is anticipated to slow down due partly to the consumption tax hike, and exports are forecast to shrink, so domestic finished-car production should turn downward. Led by the construction sector , domestic demand for ordinary steel will increase in fiscal 1996. In fiscal 1997, as business activities of user industry will generally decline, demand should fall off. |
