Tiivistelmä:In a chat with Kyoto reporters in September, Inamori Kazuo said he had not totally given up on the idea of retiring when he turns 65 next February to read up on Buddhism. The media took the story -- and ran. The chairman of Kyocera, one tabloid claimed, would go into seclusion. Another said he would beg from door to door as a Buddhist monk. As friends and associates deluged him with calls, Inamori felt compelled to respond. Writing in Bungei Shunju magazine, he said that although he wanted more time to study religion and philosophy, he was not leaving Kyocera.
