| Tiivistelmä: | The article deals with the conditions of the states in Central and Eastern Europe to become members in the European Union (EU). Specific things like stability of the democracy, mutual understanding of the EU goals, state of the market economy, ability to compete inside the EU, things in favour and against as to the countries in question are presented. Macroeconomic indicators of Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Hungary, Slovak Republic and Czech Republic from 1994 to 1996 are also presented. |
