Tiivistelmä:A study of 532 scientists and engineers from 4 industrial research and development organizations showed that as hypothesized, the scientist-engineer distinction had a moderating effect on the relationships between job involvement and 1-year-later job-performance ratings and on counts of patents and publications. Scientists had stronger relationships between job involvement and each of the performance measures taken 1 year later than did engineers.
