Daniel Goldman's book, "Emotional Intelligence: Why It Can Matter More Than IQ" (Bloomsbury Publishing, 1996) was timely, presenting ideas that resonated with the personal and organisational experience of line managers and HR professionals alike. Organizations now have a method of expressing existing levels of emotional intelligence in a way that will help them devise development activities to build on these capabilities in the future. |
