| Tiivistelmä: | The different roles played by the APEC and the IMF have been the most striking aspects in attempting to manage the crisis in East Asia. Although both organizations mentioned have similar market-centered reform agendas, the APEC has been conspicious by its absence in the wake of the crisis. This paper considers the actions of both organizations and their very different approaches to institutional reform. |
