| Tiivistelmä: | The characteristics of the current situation of commodity prices are as following. The price of food remains on a low level. Under the setup of buyers' market, prices of most consumption goods have declined while prices of a few consumption goods have gone up. The purchase and sale of means of production lacks distinction. The falling tendency of prices intensifies. The rising amplitude of prices of services and housing still remains at a high level. Protruding problems in the operation of commodity prices in 1998 are as follows:Agriculture is still a weak link; Prices of basic products in the fields of energy, traffic, etc are still relatively low, which leads to the projecting contradiction between the low prices and their high costs. The rising amplitude of prices of residential dwellings and services is excessively high. |
