Tiivistelmä:The main focus of this study is to research the link between organization structure which is suggested that it builds from number of business actions that create an appropriate environment and infrastructure for knowledge management. In more detail the authors aim identify the characteristics of organizational structure that offer the development of knowledge management process. The methodology used to study the aforementioned topic is through multiple case study method, wherein this case six internationally recognized Spanish firms characterized by their excellence and proactivity in matters of knowledge. The findings indicate that these studied companies have fewer hierarchical levels and have adopted flexible and increasingly flat organizational forms that encourage communication and teamwork among staff members; interaction with each other is made to be easy, thus people interact and take better advantage of their competencies.
