| Tiivistelmä: | Guidelines and principles needed for the design of novel kinds of information systems to support general matching process are presented. These are based on a new model of matching process and an analysis of key decision issues. Thus, a fruitful new avenue of inquiry into assignment problems that do not assume perfect information by match participants is opened. As an example most graduating medical students are matched with openings residents in the United States teaching hospitals every year. |
