| Tiivistelmä: | The utilization of corporate planning models has been increasingly important to the utility industry due to the uncertainty of energy prices, regulations, financing and the long lead time associated with the construction of power plants. An overview of the corporate planning process is provided. It is discussed how corporate planning models are utilized for financial impact analysis and planning within the regulated utility industry in the United States. The benefits derived from utilization of corporate planning models by several electric utility companies are analyzed. |
