| Tiivistelmä: | Progressive companies are making further preparations for the effective employment of information technology as a strategic competitive weapon. The basic prerequisite for this, however, is the individual development of an information strategy and its subsequent incorporation in the company strategy. The most important parameters of competition are reviewed, and used in order to construct the "strengths and weaknesses profile" of a company. A framework for an integrated information system is developed. Informations and communications technology is characterized from strategic viewpoints. An infrastructure model of informations and communications technology is presented as an aid for making an integrated systems development. |
