Tiivistelmä:A survey of business administration indicates that ethics instruction in colleges today is weak, while interest and the need for ethics training is great. By evaluating students' responses and explaining the importance of ethics in the workplace, arguments are provided that an ethics program should be a fundamental part of undergraduate management training. The necessity of business ethics education is illustrated by a number of comments from respondents. An alarming 33 p.c. of respondents indicated that employees are often rewarded for unethical business behaviour. Although 84 p.c. indicated that their employer emphasizes ethical behaviour, that percentage dropped 63 p.c. if this type of behaviour hurt profit.
