Tiivistelmä:This study focuses on decision making in the context of petroleum-exploration ventures. In the experiments petroleum geologists responded to scenarios in which a number of dry wells had been drilled. The aim of the experiments was to examine the generalisability of sunk- cost /the drilling of a dry well/ effects on the escalation of commitment to ongoing projects in the context where sunk costs are inextricably tied to clear negative feedback.
