Tiivistelmä: | In the U.S.A more mother work and "latchkey" children have become increasingly common. Career-minded mothers are more likely to return to work sooner, reducing their time with the baby. The image of business "forcing" new mothers back to work has helped fuel calls for federally mandated parental leave. There is a demand for family-leave legislation that would end up hurting working mothers. Government should not override the choices of workers and companies. As a result of this drive, the legislation would raise the cost of creating jobs. Married women will be seen as higher-cost employees. |
