| Tiivistelmä: | With the collapse of the socialism in East-Europe, the possibility and advantages of employee's participation in the decisions of corporations are widely discussed. Is it to conclude from that failure of self-determination in the socialism that participation is unrealistic in market economies too? The author describes different theories of social sciences which speak in favour of self-determination. The arguments of these theories differ widely depending on the theories' position within social sciences. However, there is a common element in them: they consider self-determination necessary and possible. |
