| Tiivistelmä: | This paper suggests an alternative framework to study informations systems innovations. The paper demonstrates the value of using the Tornatzky and Fleischer framework to understand the adoption of a complex informations systems innovation. Traditional views of organizational innovation have not provided a useful structure for understanding the adoption of complex technologies. The results provide empirical evidence that supports the need for more context based model of innovation adoption. The results suggest the inclusion of technical knowledge as a barrier to adoption. |
