| Tiivistelmä: | This article examines the development of business ownership (self-employment) rates on sectoral level and the effect of them on sectoral output growth. The sectoral data from 21 OECD countries during the 1970-1998 period is used for the study. It also discusses the limitations of the article by Carree et al. which introduced a model describing the interrelationship btw. the rate of business ownership and economic development. |
