| Tiivistelmä: | While large enterprises establish particular departments for CIM (computer integrated manufacturing) planning or utilize external consulting, small and medium size enterprises lack both the financial and personal resources. One essential problem to overcome during a CIM implementation is the development of a long-term functional and informational model specifically tailored according to the company's needs. Subsequently, an electronic tool is described. Based upon a predetermined reference architecture and the conditions specific of the particular company under study, the requirements of the functional and integral concept are derived with the help of a dynamic knowledge base. |
