| Tiivistelmä: | After many years of delay, an act governing part-time working in the private sector has finally been passed. The legislation has effectively filled a vacuum in the Grand-Duchy's system of employment law, which until now has left this area unregulated. The main provisions of the new act cover the following areas: a definition of part-time employment; employers' obligations when they introduce part-time employments; rules governing employees' moving to or returning from part-time employment; regulations on working hours; terms and conditions of equal treatment of those working under full-time and part-time employment; part-time workers' unemployment benefit rights. |
