| Tiivistelmä: | In recent months the main Court of Justice of the European Union has: applied its recently adopted distinction , in relation to trade in goods between member states, between national rules which relate to the physical characteristics of goods and those which merely relate to methods of sale; ruled incompatible with EU law an Italian system of health checks on meat imported from other member states; annulled a Commission directive prohibiting the use of a specified substance in cosmetics because the appropriate scientific advice had not been obtained. |
