| Tiivistelmä: | A single market and a single currency are not enough. If the EU is to have a genuine single trading area, then a single European law is required as well. A single market with a single currency still leaves in place no fewer than 17 legal systems. And that number will multiply with the projected entry of up to a dozen new member states from central and eastern Europe and the Mediterranean. This kind of legal fragmentation significantly restricts trading opportunities. |
