Tiivistelmä:When companies will do anything rather than use Central Europe's courts to settle their disputes, there has to be something wrong. Cases take years to be heard, judges are often inexperienced, and police are still corruptible. No wonder Hungarian lawyer Geza Kajtar says he feels "embarrassed" when he has to accompany a foreign client into court. "It's like something from the 19th century". Yet the rule of law was once touted as one of the three main goals of transition - after democracy and market economics.
