| Tiivistelmä: | There are at least three options in protecting the interests of depositors in China. 1.The interests of all depositors are protected absolutely by the government. But this mode would not be favourable to advantage competition among banks. Instead, it would stimulate banks to seek high profits regardless of risks and lead to the fact that the People's Bank of China can not bear the heavy burden. 2. The government may decide whether to provide protection for the interests of depositors in the banks which have some problems according to the need of situation and its own financial situation. 3.We may establish a deposit insurance institution. Its funds come from the government's funds and the insured banks' insurance premium. |
