Tiivistelmä: | Although women comprise a greater number of entrants to the workforce than ever before, a significant number eventually drop out of corporate life, often at the pinnacle of their careers. Findings of a national survey of chief executive officers and personnel managers are reported assessing corporate development opportunities for women in top management positions. Survey results indicate that more than half of American organizations experience difficulties in attracting and retaining women managers and professionals. Recommendations are made for implementing innovative human resource policies allowing women to balance, and thus meaningfully contribute to, career and family obligations. |
