Tiivistelmä:A framework for the strategic analysis of the Single European Market is provided. The creation of this market will have an impact on the critical forces of competition rivalry, customers, suppliers, new entrants and substitutes, and companies that have built their competitive position on a low cost strategy will need to assess how the position is likely to be eroded by the 1992 event. Proactive and realistic strategies to meet challenges implied by community directives are critical success factors. In addition, organizational implications will be considerable. They will include product development, finance, purchasing, sales and distribution, and of course, human resources.
