| Tiivistelmä: | Since the initial consideration, early experimental prototypes and clinical use over the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, both the importance and the challenges of decision support systems (DSS) for healthcare have been elevated because of the increasing financial significance and cost-control and quality improvement pressures of healthcare. Because of the improvement in medical knowledge and practices, the demand for healthcare services and resources have been increasing steadily in the 20th century. |
