| Tiivistelmä: | Technological innovation is one of the essential elements promoting the technological dynamics of the economy, hence, international competitiveness. The impact of financial systems, direct and indirect, on the technological dynamics of the economy is examined. Direct financing or raising funds from capital markets seems to be a system more conducive to technological innovation than indirect financing or borrowing from credit institutions. The statistical test lends support to this view. The findings explain an important part of the variations in technological dynamics. |
