| Tiivistelmä: | Attempts of management researchers to identify success factors for companies have remained unsuccessful so far. An analysis of the reasons for this lack of success reveals that they are most likely to persist. Since this finding has been known for some time now, the question emerges why the researchers continue their unsuccessful search for success factors. The answer lies in the situation management researchers find themselves in: they have to live up to the requirements of science and, at the same time, they have to fulfill expectations that they produce something useful for management practice. The paper provides a substantial list of references on this subject. |
