| Tiivistelmä: | It is reported that, in the Outline of the Ninth Five-Year Plan and the long-term targets through the year 2010, the clothing production will grow at a rate of 8% and the export will reach US$ 50 billion by 2010. But with regard to the machines now in use, those of late 80s accounts for 6% only and of 80s and late 70s for 10%, the rest are all obsolete. To satisfy the need of upgrading clothing production, about 500 ,000 sewing machines worth US$ 0.4-0.5 billion have to be imported every year. The aforesaid figures show that there will be an inevitable great demand for up-to-date sewing machines in China. |
