| Tiivistelmä: | Study of the impact of length of unemployment on two groups of unemployed men in Adelaide, S.Australia, 15-24 and 30-49 years of age, concerning job seeking activity, employment commitment, self-esteem, psychological distress, use of time and financial strain. The differences between the two groups and correlations involving data for all subjects. Employment commitment and financial strain moderating influences on psychological stress in both groups. The results were related to findings of Sheffield unemployment studies. How future research could benefit from theoretical frameworks and empirical findings from life-span developmental psychology. Two Tables cover variables. |
