| Tiivistelmä: | Warehousing demands today are constantly changing. With fluctuations in cost and consumer demand, warehousing must be able to keep up with these changes to remain competitive. In short, a warehouse must be flexible. Flexibility must be designed into every function of the warehouse: receiving, material handling storage, picking and sortation, shipping, labeling and packaging, the warehouse management system (WMS), and personnel. Without complete flexibility, the warehouse risks losing its competitive edge. |
