| Tiivistelmä: | In March 2000 Erste Bank, Austria, has become the major shareholder of one of the biggest Czech Banking Groups: Ceska sporitelna, a.s.(CS). From the Austrian side, this step was derived from the clear focus in establishing an extended core market in Central Europe. CS's financial performance made it necessary to introduce a comprehensive restructuring phase covering basically the whole CS Financial Group. |
