Tiivistelmä:This paper presents results based onto an empirical study into the attitudes and behaviours of over 100 U.K. SME owner/managers in response to buyer pressure to demonstrate CSR activities. The inclusion of social and environmental requirements as preconditions to supply would increase most respondents' motivation to engage in CSR (82 percent for environmental criteria and 55 per cent for social criteria). Yet, a quarter of respondents would be put off tendering and 12 percent considered such criteria as counter productive.
