| Tiivistelmä: | In Moscow the biggest advertisers are banks and financial companies. Their advertisements bombard the populace from street hoardings, the metro, televisions and newspapers. But much of that advertising has nothing to do with banking as it is normally understood. Some desperate banks are offering interest of up to 1,000% on rouble deposits and as much as 65% for dollars. The banks forced to pay these rates are unlikely to be around for long, although they have done a lot of business during galloping inflation. |
