| Tiivistelmä: | In this article causes and goals of the institutional trans- formation in Russia are analyzed in an holistic approach. Reasons for the present bad economic situation in Russia are seen in the time long before the Gorbatschev era. Therefore, the author examines the economic development of the country in the time before reformation. The methodical approach used in this article, is a double estimation of the economic growth in Russia. It is based on the national income and the national wealth. By measuring the speed of diffusion of technology into economy, the influence of scientific-techni- cal improvement on the growth-possibilities of the Russian economy is analyzed. To achieve innovation as a goal of reformation, it is ne- cessary to enforce institutional transformation e.g. lowe- ring costs of capital, demonopolization of the market etc. |
