| Tiivistelmä: | The article considers economic and political changes, occurred in Russia since president Vladimir Putin was confirmed in office. The article states that there are two Putins: an economic one and a political one. Regarding the political Putin the author considers the considerable progress in consolidating Putin's personal hold and power and changes in government system. Also the author considers fighting between three Kremlin clans: the Family, the Chekists - an authoritarian hardline group - and the St. Petersburg liberals, a group of economists championing free markets. As the economic Putin he has one goal - making Russia great again. Putin's plan of economic reforms, authored by Gref's team, has been turned into a month by month schedule of things to do. |
