| Tiivistelmä: | At the beginning of 2001, the recorded outward FDI stock of Russia amounted to almost USD 12 billion. Various sources indicate that Russian direct investment has not flown only to the West, but to a large extent, to Central Eastern European countries and to the former Soviet republics. The rapidly growing FDI outflow suggest that the financial position of some Russian companies has significantly improved, and hence, Russian corporations have become increasingly interested in expanding abroad. |
