Tiivistelmä: | This paper examines relationships between work-related values held by managers from diverse cultures and their practices in leadership as assessed by subordinates. Support was found for the impact of cultural values on power distance (PDI) and uncertainty avoidance (UAI). PDI was negatively and significantly associated with communication, delegation, approachability and team-building. UAI was positively and significantly associated with leader control and negatively significantly associated with delegation and approachability. In the case of control the association with UAI was also significant. |
