Tiivistelmä:This study presents a taxonomy categorizing the types of cognitive failure possibly resulting in persistent gambling (here as: gmbl). Three categories (as: catgs.) of cognitive (as: cogn.) difficulties possibly leading to gmbl. problems (as: prb./prbs.) are defined: the autonomous set of systems (TASS) override failure, missing TASS output, and mindware prbs. 7 of 8 tasks administered to pathological gamblers (as: gmbs.), gmbs. with subclinical symptoms, and control participants were associated with prb. gmbl. 5 of 8 were significant predictors (controlled for age and cogn. competence). An indicator from each of the 3 catgs. of cogn. difficulties explained significant unique variance in prb. gmbl., indicating that each of the catgs. had some degree of predictive specificity.
