To be able to interact with people from different cultures it is vital to understand their values, norms and priorities. There are considerable barriers in the process of acquiring a foreign culture. It is even more complicated when it comes to perceptions, assumptions and expectations. Peoples' priorities are often influenced by the prevailing culture. The bulk of cultural components include beliefs, norms, values, standards, perceptions, attitudes and priorities. |
